Vacuum pumps for industrial needs

Vacuum technology and vacuum pumps are an essential and important element for a lot of different industrial applications. From complex and critical processes like cryogenics to straightforward pick-and-place applications, our expertise and commitment to supporting varied industries continues to push us further.

HHV Pumps enables the customers with the widest choice of electrical accessories that can be selected based on the functionality and safety standpoint. We also offer a wide range of custom made accessories along with the pump based on the requirements.

Process we support

Cryogenics.

Vacuum is used to evacuate and dry the annular space present between the two layers of the cryogenic tanks. It is also used to leak check the cryogenic tanks/vessels once fabricated. Lesser the pressure better the insulation from external atmosphere thereby making the material safer to store/transport. Cryogenic liquids are very low in temperature, to keep such low temperature, liquid vacuum is essential. We currently have solutions for perlite filled cryogenic tanks and multi-insulation cryogenic tanks. (Optional cold trap available too)

Leak detection.

Detecting leaks in welded joints by passing Helium gas under vacuum is the most efficient and accurate ways of checking leaks. Vacuum helps in generating the required pressure to accurately spot the focal point of leak. Leak detectors are used in various industries like engine casting, gas insulated switch gear, transformer enclosure, any high pressure/vacuum chambers, AC & refrigerator, thermos flask, freeze dryer etc. Helium mass spectrometer helps to identify the leaking spot. To use helium MSLD, we need minimum vacuum to be maintained.

Pick and Place/Job Holding.

Vacuum is applied on the suction cups to hold, lift and move the materials from one place to another. It is commonly seen in automotive manufacturing plants to move the windshields, in packaging industry to move carton boxes, lifting granites etc. Any two-dimensional objects can be lifted with the help of vacuum through suction cups. Normal practice is to fit them on gantry robots or a robotic arm.

Resin Infusion.

Resin is infused into the substrate by applying vacuum from the opposite side or by creating a pressure difference. Wind turbine blades are infused with resin under vacuum, windshields are infused with a resin to make it shatterproof. Other major applications include composite manufacturing processes, wherein resin is spread across 2D surfaces, epoxy resin with fabrics used in wind blade, small water boats, automobile parts, aerospace parts, wind shield in automobile and defence application.

Extruder.

Extrusion is a process of formation of material by applying pressure and making it pass through different shaped apertures. Extrusion under vacuum helps in removal of trapped air molecules in the base material making a stronger and efficient end product.

Vacuum: 10 mbar

Vacuum furnace

Applying vacuum in a furnace ensures uniform heating of the substrate material. It helps reduce oxidation and reduces the heating duration. To improve the physical properties of the metal alloys, we work with various customers who demand to anneal, temper, hardening, sintering and up to metal injection moulding. HHV Pumps have the best range vacuum pumps with various size roots boosters. We also have solutions for laboratory scale table-top furnaces.

Vacuum: 10-2 to 10-5mbar
